Full-stack Engineer

What you’ll do: As a generalist, youʼll have an ownership role in multiple parts of our technology and work across the stack. Day to day, youʼll collaborate directly with our CTO and VP of Product; discuss product challenges and objectives with the team; and bring the ability to both zoom out to the strategy and dig into the details.

  • Work at all levels of the stack, from AWS+Node.JS+SQL to React+HTML+CSS.
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for building, shipping, and maintaining core features, end to end.
  • Design and architect a new system, focusing not only on performance and scalability, but also on crafting a beautiful user experience.
Who you are:
  • Youʼre a software engineering generalist who cares deeply about user-centric product development.
  • You have deep knowledge of web technologies and large-scale web application architecture.
  • You have done this before: napkin to production of a full-stack platform.
  • You know that if itʼs not tested and proven to work, itʼs not done.

Frontend Engineer

What you’ll do:
  • Spec and build user interfaces that are easy to learn, consistent, and fast; and that can extend to varying use cases in the future.
  • Invent patterns and reusable components that our users can assemble to build powerful software workflows.
  • Work with Electron, React, and HTML/CSS to build and maintain new features.
  • Create reusable and maintainable frontend systems.
Who you are:
  • You have deep experience with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks and tooling. React expertise is required.
  • You have strong product and design sensibilities and enjoy perfecting the details that matter.
  • You take a thoughtful approach to decision making; knowing when to move fast and when to do things right.
  • You have done this before: napkin to production of an entirely new application that integrates with an AWS backend.

Backend Engineer

What you’ll do:
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain a brand new cloud-based system for delivering VR training content using AWS; Research and select appropriate tools and services to deploy and maintain infrastructure in a scalable and extensible way.
  • Ensure not only on performance and scalability but collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure a flawless and consistent user experience.
  • Design and implement the AWS infrastructure, optimizing for long-term extensibility, performance, and reliability.
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for building, shipping, and maintaining core features, end to end.

  • You have deep knowledge of AWS technologies and large-scale web application architecture.

Unity Developer

What you’ll do:
  • 2+ years of Unity and C# development
  • Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
  • Deep understanding of 3D math, efficient data structures, graphics, and the standard Unity asset and build pipeline
  • Experience programming shaders using ShaderLab and using Shader Graph
  • Passion for keeping up to date with the rapidly changing enhancements and features in Unity
  • Proficient in both debugging and profiling
  • Ability to respond positively to critique and iterate on feedback
  • Excellent time-management, organization, and communication skills
  • Experience with the animation pipeline and tweening
  • Experience with Oculus SDK, Open VR, MRTK
  • Experience integrating third party api’s into Unity

Chief of Staff

What you’ll do:
  • Influence key strategic decisions
  • Ongoing assessment of company-wide process improvement to maximize effectiveness
  • Relentlessly pursue new procedures and ways of thinking to deliver product excellence
  • Be the central point of connection for leadership team
  • Identify and coordinate internal and external stakeholders for strategic initiatives

Who you are:
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead multiple projects of varying timelines simultaneously.
  • Proven effectiveness driving complex multi-stakeholder processes while delivering results
  • Proven competency in leadership, cross-team collaboration, and written and verbal communications
  • Experience working closely with a CEO and leadership team

Community Development Manager

What you’ll do: Moth+Flame is on a mission to help people learn better faster. This is a team that demands excellence of its product and its people. In this role, the Community Development Manager will help create an ecosystem of platform users, brand ambassadors, and thought leaders who can elevate Moth+Flame’s brand awareness. This role will be critical to managing organizations and individuals in three main communities: diversity, equity and inclusion thought leaders, military training innovators, and corporate training professionals. The Community Development Manager will report directly to the VP of Communications, Government Affairs and DEI Community. They will be responsible for engaging these communities and developing corporate communications to effectively position the company within these communities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Organize M+F influencer and user communities
  • Identify thought leaders for engagement
  • Engage community stakeholders
  • Develop communication strategy and communication content for stakeholder community
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders for strategic initiatives
  • Messaging through corporate social media accounts
  • Conducting research on DEI and Corporate Training
Who you are:
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead multiple projects of varying timelines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Experience managing social media accounts
